Hypnotherapy
Have you ever had
a deja vu experience? Or "spaced out"
and lost track of the time? Or daydreamed? Or
been so focused on doing something that you
didn't hear someone calling your name? At those
times you experienced a natural state of
hypnosis.
By choosing to follow the guiding voice of the
hypnotist, you can quiet your conscious mind,
relax, and access your unconscious. You don't go
to sleep, you go into an altered state. You are
fully aware of everything you hear and are able
to communicate verbally with the hypnotist. You
don't loose control. You can choose to open your
eyes any time you want.
Some of the things you can accomplish with the
use of hypnosis are:
learn
relaxation techniques to release fears,
stress & anxiety
recover from
trauma
gain
confidence
improve
creativity and concentration
use behavior
modification to change habits
non-smoking
weight
control
public
speaking
self-confidence
and self-esteem
creativity
restful sleep
recovery from
loss or separation
increased
ability to learn
manifestation

taking
enhanced
athletic performance
successful
medical procedures & decreased
recovery time
This is done by
preparing an individualized program for you,
suggesting you visualize yourself as you go
through each day successfully modeling your new
behavior. Your subconscious mind will usually
internalize the new behavior after several
sessions of reinforcement. As you can see from
the section on Regression, some of these
behaviors will be more effectively changed by
examining their origins from childhood or before.
People often see a stage hypnosis show, where the
hypnotist suggests you cluck like a chicken, and
think that's what hypnosis is. I have spoken to
several people who participated in these shows
and they said they didn't think anything that was
suggested to them was uncomfortable or immoral.
Your subconscious is where your conscious is and
won't let you do anything that is not within your
belief system.
