Feng
Shui
Feng Shui is the
ancient Chinese art of positioning things in your
environment that enhances the flow of energy to
promote harmony and balance in your life.
Re-arranging, adding, and eliminating various
objects in your home or office can redirect the
energy so that it flows smoothly and fully
supports you in whatever area needs improvement.
There are two
methods (at least) of Feng Shui - the compass
method and the black hat method. I use the black
hat method, which includes lots of common sense.
For example, if you are single and want a
relationship, don't have your home full of
pictures of sad-looking single people. Instead
have pictures of happy-looking couples, or sets
of two items hanging on your walls, instead of
one. If you walk into a room and think it's
beautiful, don't change a thing. But if you walk
into a room and the same thing always catches
your eye or you notice something out of place,
move it.
There are nine
sections of life represented in your living and
working spaces: career, wisdom & knowledge,
family, prosperity, fame & reputation,
relationships, children & creativity, helpful
people & travel, and health. If you have
objects, colors or shapes in these areas that are
incompatible with the space, you may experience
"stuck" energy. Conversely, if you have
compatible objects, shapes and colors the energy
will flow freely. If any area of your life is not
going smoothly, attention to the details in that
area of your home or office will improve it.
